Education Quotes
The goal of this project was to create graphics for the company's shipping boxes using inspiring quotes related to education. Since then they have been used in various applications across the company, including social media posts, website graphics, notebooks, and employee business cards.
ARC Notebook
ARC gives out notebooks to current and prospective customers at events such as trade shows and conferences, and is redesigned every few years. I was assigned to lead the latest redesign. It needed a simple front an back cover with information displayed on the inside covers. I went with a subdued design with the front showing the company slogan and the back showing a quote by Frederick Douglass that we have used in other marketing pieces. The inside covers contain information on the company curriculum and results, each have QR codes to find more information on these topics.
MFK Fisher Book Covers
Academic project to create a series of covers for three books written by food author M.F.K Fisher. I chose to solve this challenge by creating Victorian-inspired borders that hold images that relate to each book of the series. The borders captured the essence of M.F.K. Fisher’s romantic style of writing.
Textile Designs
Collection of textiles related to children's stories for an academic project. My goal was for the textiles to be enjoyable and relatable to both children and adults.
Tokyo Travel Guide
Highlights from an academic project to illustrate a travel guide for Tokyo, Japan. Having a strong interest in Japanese textiles, and an illustration style that utilizes textures, I came up with the concept to use scans of Japanese textiles and combine them with my vector illustrations.
Children's Book Redesign
Highlights from an academic project to redesign and illustrate an existing children’s book. I chose The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear by Don and Audrey Wood. The images were created in Adobe Illustrator for flat colors and then brought into Photoshop to add texture and shading.
